    Cold Weather builds Character

California International Marathon yesterday was the coldest race I've ever run! It was my husband's first marathon and we brought along our friend to do his first half marathon. It was 26 degrees when we started and I don't think it ever got above 32 when we were running. Who knows really though, because cold is cold. I saw so many runners who were blind with their guides and what kept me going was thinking about people who can't run for whatever reason, including Boston. It was a really tough run, but I'm so glad I did it. Thanks CNN for the opportunity!
