    Protests against Chevron in Romania

    Conversation started today

    Alin Roiu
In Pungesti, county of Vaslui , Romania, the state and the corrupt government are sending the gendarmery armed with police batons, shields and helmets,to "control " 10 years old children and old ladies and to abuse and beat 60 years old (and more)grandpa's, which are doing nothing more than to protect their lands, and to protest against the Chevron's shale gas exploration; to be mentioned that the land in cause is subject to private property, it was not leased with the owners consent, and the state wants to expropriate all this area, in order to facilitate Chevron's exploitation. Instead of Christmas carols, the children are singing carols with adopted lyrics against the abuse of the gendarmery, of the government and public figures from the government who tend to be very friendly with Chevron. The national gendarmerie is acting as a private security firm contracted by Chevron. Please help us, because no one else is doing it.
