    IMPROVING SERBIAN HEALTHCARE

Medical material and equipment for hospitals have arrived today in Clinical Center Nis, Serbia, from Humanitarian aid organization "28.June" from Canada.

The donation consists of surgical material, orthopedic aids, and material for post-surgery care. Director of Clinical Center Nis Professor Dr. Zoran Radovanovic said " This is the completion of campaign which lasted for year and a half, and although the aid is worth 400 000 dollars, its value on domestic market would be over 500 000 euros. Aid consists of medical needles, medical scissors, coats, catheters and medical walkers" . "This is one of the biggest aids that came to Serbia in last 10 years" - Dr. Radovanovic also said.

The campaign for this aid was led by the Humanitarian organization "28. June" from Canada, which is present in Serbia for the first time. " Aid was donated with money we raised on aid-dinners in 130 cities, in 80 countries around the world" - said Marija Karlicic, coordinator for the "28. June" for Balkans.
