SF BAY AREA HONORS A LEGENDARY LEADER

Oakland, CA December 12, 2013: On the 10th day of mourning and the life celebration of the Late President Nelson Mandela, Aerial Beacon will launch a banner in the sky to honor his memory and legacy. The sign will follow a Zulu pattern that will launch on Saturday December 14th, 12:30 PM from the Hayward CA airport with a flight path to the Oakland Coliseum, where President Mandela addressed a crowd of over fifty thousand.  The flight outlined by the Bay Area Black Pilots Association to UC Berkeley, where many strategies that led to Mandela's freedom from the apartheid prison were hatched, will continue over UC Berkeley progressing to Mandela Parkway continuing over to the San Pablo Bay near the toll plaza and a will conclude with a return to Oakland.

The sign which was an initiative of the BEE Coalition will bear the hash tag #Mandela27Years and direct audiences to the website http://www.beecoalition.org, where the work, the struggle, the freedom and benevolence of President Nelson Mandela will be highlighted in February 2014 during Black history month.

According to Captain Sam Gaadi, V.P and flight operations manager at Aerial beacon, the flight will be a non-revenue flight sponsored by the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area.

The operation will not be an expensive one, as Bay Area Veterans who work at Aerial Beacon and have drawn inspiration from the Legendary President will produce the sign voluntary.  This event will include five airplanes in the Zulu patterns with both Black and White pilots united to honor the legacy of President Mandela
