Where ever I may wander
This is probably an important image for the metaphor it represents: making your way, anywhere at any time through storms and troubles and still being able to find your way. The Canada geese can do this.
They are probably the most beautiful of the migratory birds: both for their size and intelligence. And they mate for life.
But their sounds at night in the fall while flying in great flocks overhead is one that you will never forget.
It is both lonely and beautiful.
I will love that sound until the day I die.
