Christmas Cheer in China (Part One)

Much to my surprise, there are Christmas decorations popping up all over the city here in Chongqing, China. Looking forward to seeing more in the days ahead before the holiday-not celebrated here as we would in my hometown and church, but still, a nice thing for us as foreignors to feel at home during the season. (Really, though, it's for the economic impact it will bring!) I will post more in the days ahead. Check out that seriously huge 7-Up bottle tree...can't wait for the lights to shine on that's almost as tall as those nearby skyscrapers. Sponsors like the Coca-cola bottling company are all about how much they can profit during the season. Who can blame them with 30 million people in this city!
