What Really Happened To Alfred Wright in Jasper, TX
Alfred Wright went missing from Jasper, Texas on November 7th. He was located deceased on November 25th after Private Investigator Chuck Foreman arrived in town and led renewed ground search efforts with Alfred's family and members of the community. Previous efforts had been called off by Sheriff Maddox on the 11th.
Alfred Wright, "Alfie" to those who knew him, was a valued member of his community, a University of Tennessee graduate and a beloved father of three. Alfie went missing after having vehicle problems as he was driving along a rural section of Highway 87 near Hemphill, the last time he was heard from being a call to his wife at 6:19 PM that day giving detailed directions to his location. A look at the timeline of events show many actions that lead to what are still unanswered questions concerning the death of Alfie.
*November 7th - Alfred experiences vehicle trouble while between jobs (he was a physical therapist) and pulled into the H&M Package Store on Highway 87. There he made a call to his wife asking for someone to pick him up and giving very detailed directions to his location. The clerk at the store reported that he was seen on his phone, then put his phone in his sock and began running down the rural road.
*November 10th - Efforts to search by the Sheriff's Department discovered personal items belonging to Alfie including his keys, wallet and items of clothing.
*November 11th - Sheriff Maddox calls off the ground search for Alfie stating that there is no reason to treat this as more than any more than a missing persons case.
*November 23rd - Private Investigator Chuck Foreman begins organizing and implementing grid search protocol and efforts with the family and members of the community in the worst possible weather conditions with pouring rain and a cold front that had moved in.
*November 25th - Alfred's body is located very near the location he went missing by the volunteer search team. A fact that Mr. Foreman and many others say shows a proper grid search was never completed previously. In the worst of weather conditions Alfred's father spent the night guarding the body of his son until Texas Rangers could arrive.
Since the discovery of Alfie's body the autopsy results have said that there was nothing to indicate the cause of Alfred's death though toxicology results are pending. Investigator Foreman says things are not adding up. Alfred was located in the toughest of locations with brush and weather. According to Foreman, it makes no sense he would be in his boxers and a sock with the before mentioned phone still in his sock and pocket change on the ground nearby. A second autopsy, ordered by the family and performed by Forensic Pathologist Lee Ann Grossberg, reveals a dispute in the results, with Grossberg stating that even in an advanced state of decomposition there is enough evidence to suggest homicide.
With no answers from Law Enforcement and calls not being returned, as an outsider looking in, wouldn't you ask the same question? What REALLY happened on the day Alfie went missing?
