    Fred 'V-Man' Watson---Victory Over Violence--- I Won't Complain !

By Tom Livsey OurTown National News Editor,

We lost two great men in one week, Mr. Nelson Mandela and Mr. Fred' V-Man' Watson. While billions know about the passing of Mr. Mandela, millions of Americans mourn alike of the death of Mr. Watson. This article s for the billions who need to remember V-Man, too !

Mr. Fred 'V-Man' Watson lead by example. Bad examples motivated him to correct them. Perhaps if the world was perfect, we would not be honoring this great man today. However, we all know that is not the case now.

For those of us who were blessed enough to know him, and for those who wished they did, we all are still perplexed to know what made this great man tick like a Platinum Rolex ?

Please allow me to share my own treasured discoveries that I have first hand knowledge about this outstanding community leader, who we all affectionately called ,'V-Man', today.

As a former investment banker on Wall Street, It was my responsibility to do what we call in the industry as, 'Due Diligence. At Jason McKenzie, Sand and McMahon, we took small businesses public to trade on the stock market. Here are a few that millions know today as Fortune 500 Corporate Giants, like Apple, Microsoft, Home Depot, and Intel, just to mention.

But before that could happen, bankers like myself would investigate everything about these companies. We would tear their company down page by page, trying to find a financial bugger. Ripping the corporate officers up and down. Throw them in a wood chipper. And if they came out on the other side whole, then we would become a market maker.

One of my faults is that I do the same with my relationships. I did the same with, Mr. Fred 'V-Man' Watson. He didn't just pass my test. He came out smelling like a Rose !

So here is my conclusive results about V-Man.

Most importantly, you must understand that Mr. Fred 'V-Man' Watson was a natural borne protector of people. He was a chief and medicine man in his community. He hunted, scouted, taught, and cured the people in his community village.

However, his most intense passions came from his purpose to protect those without a voice, and his intense motivation came from being a protector for those who were being abused. So, is the reason for his middle name,, 'V', Victory Over Violence!

For if anything ever happened in Georgia, V-Man would already know about the five W's,(Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How), of those entering his camp.

He always kept his good ear to the ground. His instincts disdainfully triggered his mind to warn others within and outside his communities around the world, when he feared things were not right....And there were many many times when things were not right.

After two decades in the finance world, I re-invented myself, as a news editor. I had no clue what to do. I was so fortunate to meet V-Man. He shared his knowledge and media contacts with me freely. He would spend hours with me over the phone, when I was discouraged. He would finish with these words," I understand that you understand, that we are talking with a purpose to serve others." After our talks, I would be at peace.

In conclusion, I have no idea why he did what he did for those who were tired, and broken down. The only thing I want to finish with is that he shared all of his knowledge with anyone who would simply listen, and he was not afraid to take a little brave, or little girl into his fold, and encourage, mentor, train, and make them discover their own God Given Talents to Lead Others.

Tricia Bailey was one of his little girls he taught recalls, " The first time meeting Mr. Fred 'V-Man' Watson, I was amazed how he had the ability to make me feel important, even when I felt so insignificant, myself. He nurtured me and my daughter as we started M T Innovations, a corporation dealing with the dangers of texting while driving. I will never forget his graceful leadrship."

I was a little brave of Chief V-Man Watson a few years back. Today, I hunt. I scout. I cure, and lead as a Media Chief.

One Love...One Love...One Love to my dearest mentor called, Mr. Fred 'V-Man' Watson...Rest Now Chief, I have your back, and I will never complain !

In tribute, please listen to Rev. Paul Jones sing ,'I Won't Complain' : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bZFQrpKRzA
