    Price was recently in the hospital in Texas and fought against pancreatic cancer since late last year . Ray Price, one of the most beloved voices of country music , died at home on Monday afternoon at the age of 87 , said his family.


    "Ray Price left in the sky at 4:43 pm Central time , "said Bill Mack " , he went in a perfect world . "Country Radio veteran Bill Mack, who serves as the representative of the family in the last couple of days , went to Facebook with Jenny Price who is the wife of Ray.


    Earlier on Sunday , several news sources said that the price had died with a lot of splashing going through home pages and social media. it was a lie .


    Ray was born January 12, 1926 in Perryville, Texas. At age 18 , the Price entered in the Marines , where he remained for two years. He began performing on Abilene radio station KRBC in 1948, and moved on to the Big D Jamboree in Dallas the next year. Price's musical career spans almost 65 years , and his record of the most versatile format in history - from the honky-tonk Western swing more lush sound in the 1960s , which led him to some of the biggest hits of his career.


    "Do not let the stars get In Your Eyes", Pryce star was on the rise , he formed his own band , the Cherokee Cowboys, in 1953. Price began to develop his signature sound on the 4/4 shuffle as an integral brand. Some of the biggest hits of the era include "City Lights", " Crazy hands" , and in 1959 was "suffering by number, " Harlan Howard wrote a gem many consider the national record of the era.
    Price in 1960 still dominated the charts, such as " pride ", " me -to-door " and " Memories of burning ."


    By the end of 1970, he found the perfect record for his new style - the new singer and songwriter in a town called Kris Kristofferson .
    Price hits continued, albeit at a slower pace .
    The situation changed in the late 1980s , he returned and record the measurement in the top 10 with " I did not hurt half as bad " and " Diamond Star " in 1981.


    In 1996 he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame , and in locations throughout the U.S. and abroad .


    In late 2012, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer , but he bravely fought the disease. The singer was a favorite . He still writes occasionally appearing with Rascal Flatts on the 2011 Anna Wilson CD Countrypolitan Duets , continued . " You are the best thing that happened to me " It is expected that the drive with the working title love song in Nashville, will be released in 2014. No matter , Ray continued to joke and had a great sense of humor along the way. Price San Antonio Express - News reported his illness. "The doctor said that every man will get cancer if he lives to be old enough. I don't know why I got it -- I ain't old!"
