Graduates Preferring Their Own Businesses over Jobs in Pakistan!

    Introduction

According to a recent article that was seen on a leading newspaper website of Pakistan, new and emerging generation is coming up with a solution to the problems that are being faced by the country over a long period of time. Pakistan’s economy is facing a lot of trouble when we analyze the economic conditions of the country and it is no surprise that measures taken to curb the situation by all governments have gone in vain. Unemployment is rising and so more and more people are forced to work on low paid jobs.

    Education & Employment

Unemployment is further fueled by poor quality education system and lack of educational funds by the governments. When we talk about quality education there are only hand full of names that comes to your mind and not everyone can afford these institutes since they are costly and have only few seats are available. Our country faces the same dilemma of private versus public education sectors as in other parts of the globe.

According to the article almost 1300 students graduated from the leading universities of the country and as many as a quarter of these students were seen interested in setting up their own business rather than opting for a job and going through the painful process of entering a multinational and passing its numerous and vigorous rounds of hiring. This is a happening as it is likely to change many things and dimensions in our country. How it will impact the economy and its factor is yet to be seen since this phenomenon is still in its early stages.

    A Paradigm Shift

There is a change expected and a paradigm shift in the Pakistan’s economy as it was told by the top faculty of the institutes that this trend is a welcoming one as these graduates are setting up their own businesses and not following the fixed career path such international marketing jobs that is been provided by the employers of the country. The sources were informed that there is a good full course that deals with the dynamics and details of entrepreneurship and that has enhance the skills and have motivated the youth to come up with their thing rather than to become a part of an already establish business.

Even the students were heard praising their respective institutes for the platform and the much needed exposure to start their own business which these universities have provided them. This was a turning point in the history of education and it is expected that more will be changed in the economy due to this development. This is also in favor of institute since no institute can survive just on the basis of its long duration or early establishment it has to prove its worth over the period of time.

Let’s see what future holds for the country and how is it going to impact the coming crucial years of the nation. It is expected by the leaders, journalist, analyst and many other important people that this change will definitely trigger something good. How it will impact job market is yet to be seen!
