    Ian Watkins - Vocalist Lostprofets sentenced to 35 years in prison for pedophilia

     

    London court sentenced the singer of British rock band Lostprophets Ian Watkins to 35 years in prison , finding him guilty of sexual offenses against minors , according to the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC.

     

    In accordance with the decision of the court , Watkins should spend 29 years in prison and then be on probation for six years . As noted, during the sentencing Judge John Royce said the musician " sank to the bottom of debauchery ."

     

    Watkins was found guilty on 13 counts , including attempted rape , sexual acts with respect to year-old baby , as well as attempts to persuade one of the fans in the crime against her child and production of child pornography.

     

    In the dock together with the musician were also two young girls , who were sentenced to 14 and 17 years in prison . Their names , as well as the degree of guilt were not disclosed.

     

    Watkins was arrested in late 2012 , after which the team stopped musical activities . In October this year, the band officially announced decay.

     

    Lostprophets Group was formed in 1997 in Wales. The greatest success in the charts had the album "Liberation Transmission", released in 2006 . Total counts team five studio albums and 18 singles.
