What's behind the protest in Thailand 2013 part 1/3

What's behind the protest in Thailand. Some questions are raised to claim for protestors' rights whether they should carry on the demonstration. They implored Military to do “Coup d'etat”. For what the protestors are calling is rather strange and distorted Democracy of their own concepts. They are going to establish the government and Democratic system by their own people, an unelected “people's council”and reject the solution by the legislative election after PM dissolved the parliament. It is an unusual way to untangle the conflicts among people in the Democratic way refer to the Constitution. It is the first time in the world that massive people use the demonstrations, the popular strategies of Democratic measurements, for restoring the country by the unusual way, non accepting election, of Democracy.
They are AntiThaksin mob's protestors led by Mr. Suthep Turksuban, the former deputy PM Apisit Vechachewa, the previous Democrat-led government's leader. He is also accused of many fraud and his image seems like an untrustworthy politician. He and his groups, Democrat party MP, PAD, etc. want to overthrow the government led by PM Yingluck Shinawat, Thaksin sister, claimed to be his puppet. Actually, they started the demonstration against the bill that could have granted amnesty to Mr.Thaksin and others. Even though the government yielded to the mob and the parliament failed to pass this bill, but the rally didn't end. They changed the aim to topple down the government and dissolve the parliament without the election later. They will establish the people congress by their own way and select the honest persons to form the new government. Finally they will invoke the King to name the new PM. They protested more aggressively, trying to seize and occupied many ministries, compounds of government buildings and clashed the police relentlessly. They declared the truce for celebrating the King Birthday on Dec 5th 2013 and insisted to start new mission at once after the King ceremony ended.
They always use the words “a fugitive or a convict”to call former PM“Thaksin ” refer to his accused corruptions which sentenced him in jail for 2 years in the case that his wife bought the land by the illegal process during his term of PM., later this case was dismissed. His wife and the other related officials in this case all are acquitted except “Thaksin”. This was the only one of many accused corruption cases that could be proved that he was guilty and sentenced for 2 years in jail. Courts also sentenced forfeiture some parts of his assets cost billions dollars too. These were controversial issues that people discussed up to now whether he was really guilty or not. Why they didn't take all his money and sentenced him to jail for the rest of his life or death penalty liked the cases of the former leader in Taiwan or South Korea instead. He is still being self-imposed to exile in many countries where the leaders are willing to protect him from Thai authorities arresting him. Some people agreed with that solution but the others mourned.
The victory of his party in every elections later showed his influence still be occupied in Thai people especially the low class farmers and workers. He may be the 1st PM who could lead his Thai Rak Thai(TRT) party-led coalition government working virtually followed his offered elective campaign policies to help rural low class people to improve their quality of living dramatically whereas many academicians in various institutions, judges, some journalists and middle to elite class people are definitely against him and his party. They all believed that Thaksin used massive money to buy enormous votes and systemically offered benefit or money to former MP of the other parties. He snatched numerous of them and could be the dominant party to form the government for the first time of his own party's debut in the political field. He managed the country like his business. Many projects and money distributed to people in the rural areas efficiently. So, it's guarantee for people's votes to support his party in next election. Many accused corruption cases also be ingrained in the AntiThaksin groups' mind too. They thought that Thaksin was too smart to left any evidences involving him in his tremendous frauds. They named this system as Tasksinomy.

Thailand was ruled by many governments that's dependent on the potential conservative panel which related military forces for a half century. They were groups of elite classes and the chief of military officers cooperative alliance. They might have their concepts that the social classes of people should be as same status as they should be or the government was too busy, dealing with the opposition, to take responsibility of helping people for better lives. At that time, people had no faith in the election, politicians and their future lives. The percent rate of voters each time for the election was very low. Propaganda, launched to all media, obsessed people and other countries and convinced that Thai people were all happy in their life. Democracy was dying.

There were some demonstration events, The popular uprising of 14 October 1973, The Thammasat University Massacre, or Massacre of 6 October 1976, that people asked for changes, but the ruler used the several militia groups and military forces to crackdown the demonstration inhumanly by claiming the right to protect Democracy from Communist or accused Lese majesty issues. Many people injured and died, framed the charged crime to dead bodies and prisoners. The government or military commanders might be changed but the potential conservative panel, concealing in the gloom, were still existed.

When the 16th constitutional legislation, written by the representative of people committee, selected by elections in 1997, which was the 1st time for the real people framers, was carried out, the Democracy was blooming. People concern their rights to participate the election and other political activities. Thai Rack Thai (TRT)party, led by Thaksin Shinawat, won the legislative election of 2001 by a landslide margin over the ruling Democrat Party led by Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai. 40% of elected MPs were freshmen. It was the first political party in Thailand to have been represented by more than half of the Members of the House of Representative and also able to negotiate for a merger with other two parties, resulting in a majority of 325 out of 500 seats for the coalition government. His government actually worked hard to raised the rural people living standard practically by the populism policies. People have prosperous hopes. Media, scholars, academicians and most of people praised him. In the 2005 legislative election, the party's candidates were elected to occupy 376 seats of the 500 seats in the House of Representatives, defeating the largest opposition party, the Democrat Party. Thailand's first single party government was successfully formed. Thailand moved forwards and aimed to the leader of ASEAN countries. Other leaders of many countries admired our PM and Thai Democratic system.
The more people idolized him the more harmful situations began. Everything went along well until Thaksin cross the line to intervene the military designation system for promoting his brother to be the Army chief. He disturbed someone who was the most potential in the process of the untouchable military business. While the tension was simmering, the car bomb plan was discovered near PM house. The rumor of coup rippled to the government till the unbelievable coup happened.
