    The India-US Row

One needs to know what happened from the beginning to have a right perspective of a complicated issue (made complicated by self serving Mr Preet Bharara). This is the story from India as it began in India and revealed by the Indian channel Times Now. The woman Sangeeta Richard who complained against Dr. Devyani wanted to settle down in US (US is regarded by many low earning Indians as a shortcut for becoming rich). She was coming to US as Dr. Devyani's domestic help. She asked Dr. Devyani to help her in procuring an Individual passport rather than a white passport (Government passport) to which Dr. Devyani refused. After coming to US as the Consul's domestic help, she hatched this plan with aim of settling down in US to which as it turns out Mr Preet bharara is an accomplice (for what reason let us ignore now, as it will open another Pandora's box). First she runs away with some phones and cash then makes a call to Dr. Devyani demanding her to pay her 10,000 dollars in cash and assist her in getting a Green Card threatening her that refusal will have severe repercussions . Dr. Devyani refused to bow down this black mail and reported the matter back to Indian Government. The Indian Government revokes Sangeeta's passport. Dr. Devyani lodged a police complaint to NYPD to locate this woman Sangita Richards. NYPD ignores and doesn't even respond. Now this Sangeeta files a complaint that she is exploited and not paid her promised wages. Now enter Mr. Preet Bharara on the scene. He charges Dr Devyani and vents vengeance on her. Mr Jeremy Carl says that Mr.Preet Bharara was an Indian native but Mr. Jeremy Carl should know that Mr Preet Bharara is more American than most Americans and doesn't it help in his political ambitions to look great upholder of American values? Of course an Indian is an easy target to be victimized to serve this purpose. Dr Devyani was heaped upon most gruesome atrocities as per the game plan. In the US a bikini clad lady may move in a beach and no body gives her a second look. In India, except in some places frequented by foreigners, it will cause a riot! In India if you ask a respectable lady to choose between death and getting stripped nude in front of others, she will choose the former. It is worse than murder here.
Let us now examine the charges filed by Mr Preet Bharara. How fradulent are they!
    1. Visa Fraud - The Visa application is filed by Sangeeta her self. How then is this a Visa fraud? If there is one then Sangeeta is an accomplice in that.
    2. Under paid wages. Sangeeta is paid Rupees 30,000 promptly every first of the month in her bank account in India. And more importantly this is the amount mutually agreed upon. No Indian domestic help gets this much salary any where in India. This is the salary many fresh graduate Engineers(!) get in India. Some may be even drawing less. Most domestic helps get about Rs 2000 (30 $) a month in India, but do also note that a good home made meal in India costs hardly Rupees 20 (30 cents).

If any nation says "forcibly removing the clothes of and making nude a respectable lady" is a standard procedure then that nation is a nation of barbarians.
It is Dr Devyani Khobragade who is the victim and not Sangeeta Richard.
