    Calling Beyonce Fans

I would first like to say I do not work for Beyoncé nor do I think she is god but I am a fan. I am outrage about the unjust treatment of Beyoncé new album by Target and Amazon. I really don’t understand why Target would refuse to sell Beyoncé new album while Amazon will sell the digital copies but they will not promote the cd on their ads. This is BS. Let’s address the facts on December 13 2013 at 12 midnight while everybody was talking about Scandal juicy season finale Beyoncé dropped her new album early. Then fans went crazy talk about the album on Facebook spread like a wildfire. You thought it was the 2008 presidential elections all over again. For an artist like Beyoncé to drop her new album like underground a rapper was pure genius. I don’t new why she used iTunes exclusively maybe because it is the top seller of digital music or maybe because she did not want it to be leaked I do not know.
It goes to show you she knows the worth of her brand and product. Artists has something call artistic license meaning they can ignore some of the rules of main stream society for the expressions of their craft. Because Beyoncé decided to use her artist license Target and Amazon decided to boycott her. I could understand the boycott if she said or did something that was offensive to society. Because we all know how we like our artists to be pure as snow. They did not boycott her because there was too much sexual language or violence. Plus we all know there is always two copies of the album: one for children or tween and another for adult. Rappers do this all the time drop an album on iTunes without any marketing and people eat it up. I believe it is because people feel that the music is more pure that way. This statement is a fact we live in a capitalist society where it is all about making money. Every good business person knows you go with the person or company that will make you the most money. Companies make bids on the right to license and market a product all the time. This time ITunes just made Beyoncé a better deal to exclusively sell (her cd early). She did not black ball Target and Amazon. It is business not personal! It is business not personal! What Target and Amazon is doing sound very personal to me. Like an old moldy cheese something smells rotten here. When Martha Stewart decided to sell her product only at Kmart or even when she went to jail no body boycotted her. Here is my point this is a case of discrimination or maybe racism or maybe sexism or maybe hatism.
It could be one or all four who knows but it is unfair. The media would have us divided about these issues but we are all impacted by these old standards of operating. I would understand if she did or said or sang something that was hateful but Beyoncé is a pretty decent person. She is not perfect or the Virgin Mary but for an artist she live a pretty clean life. You never see her on the news drunk, cursing, or anything to bring down her brand. She is a role model to so many young women throw out the world. She has a positive image of being a good mother, wife, and most importantly a smart business woman. This album yes may have something’s that you do not want your kids to hear but this album is for the grown and sexy. In my humble opinion every girl needs to listen to Pretty Hurt and Flawless. We need to start building up a generation of girls who see themselves more than some man sex toy. This is a cause that everyone should get behind not just female or male or African American or Caucasian or whatever group someone else decided to classify you.
Music has the ability to cross lines, bring people together, lift you up when you are feeling down there should be no politics in that. We live in the Yes we can era! We must show them this is bigger than Beyoncé new album. Because in truth is not even about her. It is about the fact someone tried something new and was successful about it.
If she would have only sold 100,000 copy everybody would have made fun of her. She took a big risk with a (HER CAREER). We must show companies who are stuck in the Stone Age that we are tired of their ways. We will not play their Hunger Games! We are better than this and we are not just a doormat generation. That you can do or say or sell us whatever you want. And we eat it up like MacDonald. Even if you are not a Beyoncé fan base on principle along at the audacity of a company or companies dictating how someone is going to sale their brand. This is not 1940s I will not hide in your kitchen. In this season of giving I am calling for a boycott of Target and Amazon. We must show them we are a generation that is new, brilliant, and will be govern by a new set of principles. That we are the creators and innovators of a true democracy. The old system has pass away this is the dawning of a better world. We must show them that we are not divided and if you come for one of us we will come for you! This is our test! Will we sleep or Keep up with the Kardashians or will we show Target and Amazon do not come for us if we do not send for you. Will we just speak throw are words and not live them throw our actions. Will we demand change with radical ideas with no action. How much longer are we going to allow some else’s ideology or bottom line determine our destiny. We are more than the generation of the skinny jeans wearing, eye piercing, tattoo getting, graduating from college but cannot find a job seeking, stress out, reality TV watching , popping Xanax era. We to can stand up and let our voices be heard. We to have the right to the promise, We to have the right to believe that there is something more out there then working 9 to 5 but cannot retire until you are 90! This is not about Beyoncé she is just a symbol that greed will not dictate our lives.
