    Muslims and Jews in Albania

The Albanians are the people who survived long enough Jewish WWII. Interesting is the fact that they were Muslim families who fled more Jewish. Elbasan refuge in their neighborhood was "Kala". Such was Jonuz Domi family in this city.
But with the extraordinary case is that of the family Mefail Biçaku, from Qarrishta, Librazhd which harbored 26 Jews during the terrible years of the Second World War.
Meanwhile in Elbasan synagogues existed. David Cross is found, cap silver Hebrew Bible, and Hebrew Bible.
All this proves the excellent religious tolerance that has existed in Albania that continues to prevail even to this day.
