    Your spectacular Christmas decorations

    Christmas in Philadelphia

Everyone hears about the masses that travel to New York to line up like cattle around the Rockefeller Center tree or gawk at holiday window displays. I'll admit, living two hours from New York City I did that too. But this year, I was determinded to be different.

This being my first Christmas in Philadelphia, I hoped to find the holiday spirit of such an amazing and under-appreciated city. So, beginning on the Sunday of Thanksgiving week, I challenged myself to find a different holiday scene or event each day.

128 miles of walking or subways (and a little driving) later, I feel the holiday spirit all over the city. It's not just the lights or the decorations or the crowds in the stores and restaurants. It's the feeling of being in such a large city and having that neighborhood feel wherever you go. It's the limitless possibilities of things to do, places to eat, and adventures to be had. It's the feeling that comes from finding the Christmas spirit right here in my new home.

    Thanks, Philly!
