    Bahrain Seminar: Spreading political and democratic culture in the Gulf


    The First Gulf Political Media Forum Kicked off on Monday in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The seminar was organized by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) in association with the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) and the Bahraini Public Relations Society with participation of 400 media professionals, intellectuals and think tanks from the region, Bahrain news agency (BNA) reported.

    The seminar included the role of the media in spreading political and democratic culture in the Gulf community and also to boost the role of the media in political and election processes.

    The seminar discussed the future of national and pan-Arab political media regulations, freedom, diversity and the correlation between political and media diversity. The forum also debated the theme "Towards a national vision to boost the role of the media in spreading political awareness, political upbringing, national cohesion, and the cyberspace and its role in political guidance.
