    Necrotizing Fasciitis

I was admitted into the hospital on June 24, 2013.  I did not get out until October 2, 2013.  I was diagnosed with Necrotizing Fasciitis.  The doctors told me it came from an ingrown hair.  I have had multiple surgeries and skin grafts to close my wound.  They cut me from my knee to my hip on my right leg.  They said it was necessary to save my life.  I have overcome that phase and now I'm recovering at home.  I started walking again in November.   I don't have my full range of motion due to the fact I laid on my back for 4 months.  My scar is enormous and I'm still in pain.  I'm sharing my story to help others because it can happen to anyone at anytime.
