    Travel snapshots: Embracing winter

    Winter Wildlife

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Jonwood visits Camden State Park in Lynd, Minnesota, at least a couple times a week in the winter. 'It is very quiet and beautiful in the winter. The Redwood River flows through the park and is open most of the winter in spots where natural springs enter it from the high river bluffs.' He sets up a portable camouflaged tent near some bird feeders and sits in there until birds come close enough to photograph in high quality. This blue jay landed about 15 feet from him on December 8, 2013.

I spend beautiful winter days in my photography blind at Camden State Park. This Blue Jay came to visit the other day and made my day. It is so peaceful and stress free and I get great photo opportunities!
