Travel snapshots: Embracing winter
Winter in Vermont
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
My son spent the night at my sisters house that night while I stayed at my hotel. I had the use of my sisters van the entire week I was there. On the day my son and I were to fly back home I packed our bags. When I opened the hotel door this is what I saw. All I could think of was how do I drive to my sisters house in this! Being from California I'd barely ever seen snow let alone drive in it.
So I called my sisters house, waking them up, my brother-in-law answered, I told him I needed someone to pick me up because I can't drive in snow. He told me it would be ok, I said are you sure? He then decided to look out the window then came back and said "I'll be right there". He had no idea how much snow had fallen overnight.
The first picture is what I saw when I opened the door.
Second picture is my sister's neighborhood that day.
Third is my brother-in-law and my son playing in the snow that day.
Fourth is my niece making a snow angel.
