I own a 41-foot sloop that I have named Bay Poet. I keep her in Rock Hall, MD because I love sailing on the Chesapeake Bay for so many reasons. From January to March, I travel to Rock Hall, MD to carry out a variety of winter chores from replacing worn components to charging the batteries to repainting the hull. There have been times when I have had to shovel a path TO the boat and then shovel snow OFF the boat just to be able to get to the companionway. I am fortunate to have quality help from my friends Theresa, Betty, and Jane. Nothing soothes my soul like being on my boat, including working on her in the snowy cold of winter. I Love sharing my boat with my friends and I take great pleasure in keeping her in good shape...even if that means working on her in the teeth of inclement winter weather.
