This iReport is part of an assignment:
Retail pot: Would you buy?
Hell Yes I Will
I think its ludicrous that pot is against the law when alcohol is legal.
It had been proven in medical studies that pot is much less harmful to the nth degree than alcohol.
Alcohol can cause a cascading effect in a persons internal organs that can lead to death, pot has never killed anyone.
It is a blessing to cancer patients by alleviating pain an helping with the appetite, as with many other chronic diseases. It helps people with Bi-Polar 1 and 2 to even out the mood swings even with the person taking prescription medication.
The medical studies that have been done show pot to be far more positive than the negativity of alcohol or cigarettes. The deaths attributed to those two things over the last 100 years have been in the hundreds of thousands,, And yet with pot? Zilch.
The Government shot itself in the foot by misclassifying pot originally as a Narcotic which it is not.
Then the alcohol and tobacco industries wormed their way into corrupt politicians pockets and further impeded the legalization of pot because it would cut into their bottom line.
The *War on Drugs* was laughable at best just more propaganda set up by a corrupt system to keep the pockets of dirty politicians lined.
And the pity is that there are still so many ignorant people who buy into the whole misconception and fiction.
The Government would not come out and say, We made a mistake pot is not a Narcotic, Pot is far, far less harmful than alcohol and cigarettes because it had already dug such a huge hole by making it the villain.
And had made far to much money from the Hero's alcohol and cigarettes.
Far be it for our Government to say they were wrong about anything, Can we say Vietnam?
I applaud the state of Colorado to have the courage of their convictions and show all of America how our Government spoon fed the American people nothing but lies and propaganda for their own means and gains.
I find the whole controversy amusing because I have watched so many detractors of drugs fall from their pedestals by using and abusing them.
My mom always said *Pot will never be legal until they find a way to tax it, Then it will be a bumper crop*
You were so right mom.
