Gaming Community Rallying Behind Game Developer with Stage IV Colon Cancer

Ron Nakada has been a game developer for Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft for the past 5 years. Earlier this year, shortly after he got married, he was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. Recently his short-term insurance expired and still needed time and money to help pay for his medical payments until the long-term insurance started. So John Alvarado, a friend of Ron, set up a fundraiser to help support the short-term money that was needed. After reports were posted on gaming news sites and Kotaku, the fundraiser is already over 75% towards the $25,000 needed for their goal in just over 2 weeks.
