This iReport is part of an assignment:
Veterans' Party Of America
One week ago, we had the idea of a Political Party formed by Veterans, with Veterans, for America. Congress and the Senate, Republicans and Democrats alike, had voted to reduce benefits for Veterans, including those so severely wounded in combat that they were medically retired.
We chose the name of Veterans' Party Of America and selected the color of Purple to represent us (for the Purple Heart) and the Eagle as our mascot. Our official logo has been designed.
We are now one week old, from conception to inception. Well, as far as political party formations go, based on historical growth) we are 3-4 years ahead of schedule. We have 18 states activated
At National Party Level, we have an appointed Chair and Vice Chair Pro Tempe. We need a Treasurer and Secretary. We have received our EIN (Tax ID number for banking and fundraising). We have filed for our 527 Tax Exempt Status and are waiting the reply. We have our Federal Elections Commission filing prepared, pending a Treasurer and the approval of the 527 status.
We have an appointed Chair Pro Tempe in the following states (with links to their pages). These states are forming their Executive Committees and beginning the process to file with their states and become a Recognized or Qualified Party.

Our Mission is to place Veterans in political office so America can once again be the nation it has always been-Strong, Fair, Just. We believe in Liberty, Justice and Freedom.
Our first obligation is to uphold the Constitution.
Our second obligation is to each other-Veterans and Americans.
Our lowest obligation is to big business and Corporate Welfare...
It's for America.
