    Happy Birthday To Morgan B.Matthews

By Tricia Bailey, OurTown National News Editor,

“I Knew She Was Special !"

I knew she was special when she arrived 2 months too soon. I looked up and down and around she was only 3 lbs.

With all the tubes, wires around her I didn’t know what to do.
I knew she was special from the obstacles she has faced and conquered with such grace.

I knew she was special from the first time I set eyes on her. That day finally came when I took her home. I was all alone.

I wondered some nights I would cry and wonder why? But I knew she was special especially when I first saw her crawl and when she took her first steps to stumble and fall.

I knew she was special when she said mama for the first time. I felt so proud I was shouting out loud.

I knew she was special when she entered 1st grade thru 12th grade with all her honors and awards she has made.

I knew she was special today in every way, attending Valdosta State University.

She is a beautiful, smart and proud Woman, I must say, even on this day- December 28th--- her 21st Birthday.

I LOVE YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS!!!

    MAMA

December 28, 2013 will be a Special Day for A Special Woman, named Morgan B. Matthews
