This iReport is part of an assignment:
American Atheists Group Tries to Ruin the Holidays …. and Fail Part 2
GET RID OF THE STATEN ISLAND BILLBOARD
American Atheists really should, they are not practicing Freedom of Speech with this. As a resident here and having my own rights of Free Speech, I say remove it. I don’t need your hate and if you want to fight with a politician, there are other ways you can do it without putting your arrogant, expensive, stupid billboard on the place I live, there is enough to deal with here I don’t need your foolish billboard. Unlike this dumb American Atheists organization, I will not speak for other people but you can check out the story run on your Staten Island billboard in the local press and see residents speak for themselves proving they don’t need your sorry arrogance in assuming to speak for them. There are people, not limited to Christians, who, in their own words, don’t like your billboard either. It should be interesting to know of all the years I have read stories and commented on that site, this one generated probably in the top 3 in number of comments by residents, that should tell American Atheists how much they HAVE offended people. Did not think about the roughly 470,000 residents of this borough when they put this idiotic billboard up, did they?
The fact the story starts off with the words, “A feud between state Sen. Andrew Lanza and the American Atheists organization has escalated,” sounds a lot like one of those dumb celebrity feuds that are so boring and unintelligent making American Atheists look even dumber. If they want to be celebrities, they can go get their own TV show, I have over 1000+ channels, some not worth my time, I am sure they can find room somewhere for this organization of celebrity wannabes.
I am sure in response to this, I will get the, “usual,” dumb Atheist responses that are partly based on the delusion created by being an Internet lawyer. Such responses will include:
- “You’re a Christian!” Prove it since I am not, have said so and have proof. When you accuse someone, you have to have proof yet I am never surprised these days, especially through the web, how many accusations without proof I have seen.
- “You should not be bothered by this,” and similar. Bull. Remember, I have my own Free Speech rights that I can use how I wish including against this low intelligence group called American Atheists. I can be bothered by what I choose including how you offended everything I believe in and worked for as a former member of the military. Even though I am not serving, I can still follow those beliefs and they include defending against the hate in these billboards. It did NOT include your phony right to put up these billboards nor your arrogance in speaking for others including myself.
- “Let me educate you….” This is a part of modern day arrogance by people who have no lives and are trying to fill an empty space in themselves. Stuff your “education,” I got one just fine through years of schooling, work, service time and time I spent myself, I don’t need some hate group trying to, “enlighten,” me. You will be ignored before you start.
American Atheists should be ashamed of themselves spending buckets of cash on billboards instead of charity mocking their own beliefs, trying to convert others instead of letting them choose for themselves, starting a dumb feud like a celebrity then dragging others into it with another dumb billboard that is all about money further mocking their own values, sharing qualities and speech habits with other hate groups, and trying to drag on the Wars between Religions. They should follow the example of actual people who don’t go around getting in each other’s faces about religion, none of those I know from different faiths do so, too bad American Atheists lowered themselves below the standards of the vary people they arrogantly spoke for without permission.
To the American Atheists, get rid of your billboard that is about nothing but saving your own wealth and, as the English say, sod off wanker.
