This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Does marijuana help you?

    Responsible user

I have smoked weed off and on since I was 17. I stopped smoking when I joined the Navy, and since then I smoke very occasionally (maybe once every three months). When I do smoke it is at night, after all my tasks and responsibilities are complete, and I never smoke around children. I wouldn't even dream of driving when I'm high, any more than I would if I were tipsy or drunk. If marijuana were legalized in my state, I would definitely buy, and I'd be happy to pay the taxes to know that I'm not doing anything illegal. I've never tried any harder drugs, and I am a 50 year old grandmother and responsible wage earner. Poof! There go the stereotypes.
