This iReport is part of an assignment:
Travel photo of the day
I feed them and four other kinds of wood pecker in my back yard in winter.
The Blue Jay is landing in the end of the shots and is taking off with a pecan.
My wife is a little mad over that, but then I'll give them cashews, walnuts, suet, and anything else in the cupboard when it's -40 degrees with a 50 mile per hour wind. Brutal deep cold here and one of the snowiest winters in 100 years in Alberta.
Nothing new. Have a Happy New Year. I'll have a glass of Scotch tomorrow afternoon. You know what I'll be doing.
Hope you are well and having fun Lia. By your work on CNN..... you are.
