Everything in Egypt is taking a different path, even winter! This upcoming winter in Egypt surprised the world. It came with a very unexpected climate change. Not only did it rain more than it normally does, not only was it really windy and cloudy, but shockingly it snowed in Egypt. For the first time in one hundred years, Egyptians lived to see some of the streets covered in something they never see inside the country, snow. In the very early morning Friday the 13th, 2013(Wait so it’s a curse?) anyways, parts of Cairo witnessed the first snowfall in more than 100 years. Off course we celebrated by wearing our Uggs, winter heavy coats, scarfs, gloves, thermal and every other thing you can possibly think of to keep you warm!! The city that’s known for its hot weather surprised its people, and the world. Below are some pictures:
