    Does marijuana help you?

    One of these days

I have been serving in the military for almost thirteen years. I am a federal law enforcement officer. I love serving the country, protecting the freedom of others. Because of my profession I cannot use marijuana in any shape or form, medicinal or recreational. I strongly support marijuana legalization. I also strongly support regulation and for any adults using marijuana to do so in a responsible manner. With the state of todays marijuana laws, I couldnt legally consume any cannabis products as a retired veteran. Any one who does so runs the risk of losing all retirement pay and benefits. In order for this to be possible, marijuana must be legalized on the federal level. I feel it is a matter of time before that happens. Thanks to the many courageous people speaking on behalf of marijuana policy reform there has been a significant shift in the country. The momentum is getting stronger every day. When somebody gets home after a long day at work, they can open a cold beer without any worries. Decades ago, they could have been put in jail. Back then, violent gangs ran the alcohol business. Hmmm. Interesting. At this point in time, I look forward to the day when I can purchase marijuana if I so choose. I hope for that freedom. After all, isnt that what our country was founded on?
