Dangerous slope around our house? Parents Beware!

Can a not so steep slope in neighboring backyard be potentially dangerous for your kids playing in the snow?
Yes it can. A bunch of neighbors gathered at a nearby backyard where kids were playing while the winter storm Ion was passing. Few parents, me included were watching. Then I started taking pictures and videos to show my family how much fun we were having. The children were racing each other on their sleds going down the slope. Then my daughter who is only five hit her head with a pole holding a bird feeder. We all were there watching them and it never occurred to us that any of the kids could get hurt. I mean the kids were not going too fast because the slope was not too steep. Right? NO.  Luckily my daughter only had a minor bump above her eyebrow. But the experience made us all think about possible dangers lurking in backyards covered with snow. Feel so blessed that nothing serious really happenned.
