    Kaohsiung, A Hidden Creative City

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Malaysian resident muidlatif visited Taiwan's Kaohsiung municipality for its annual design festival last year. "I felt that the local community in Kaohsiung are very open, friendly and dear," he said. "I'm impressed by the level of openness. It's easy to smile to them, especially old folks, and receive a good response in return."
    - sarahbrowngb, CNN iReport producer

Kaohsiung shows us an example of how a city should be shape by sustaining both modern and traditional architecture could co-exist together. Being a part of the contributing digital artist (representing Malaysia), I managed to visit Kaohsiung, Taiwan to see how visual artists and designers from all over the world gather to craft a great visual storytelling though this fascinating project called 'Creative Cities' in conjunction of Kaohsiung Design Festival located at Pier 2 Art Center, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. CREATIVE©ITIES is a project inspired by how the “creative city” defines the aspirations of cities around the world today. It maps out what this new world looks like through the people, projects, products and places, recommended by creators living in these cities. Being here is remarkably inspiring and eye-opening. I'm impressed by the level of support from the local community to tourists ranging from young and old come together to enjoy this wonderful design festival.
