Travel snapshots: Embracing winter
Ready to Leave Winter Behind
Okay, the other day I posted a photo of all the things I needed/wanted to take with me to Tonga. Well, somehow, after sorting through and giving away more clothes and household items-again-along with packing a box to mail ahead , it all worked out. So I'm ready to go, cooking dinner for the last time (since I will eat out tomorrow) got some cash and the passport along with a big smile since I am returning Tonga-one year after I finished Peace Corps Response service there and one year after an interesting and memorable China life later. It's really freezing here now, that's why soup has been great for those raw and chilly days up here on the mountain on campus in Chongqing. So, I am glad to be getting into more of that beach life I crave in just 36 hours. So if you're looking for me anytime soon, here's where I'll be, flying high and enjoying the magic of the Friendly Islands-See you in the Southern Hemisphere!
