Its official, Chicago is the new Alaska. I've been distracted all day by the eerie views from my window. Imagine waking up in Chicago, to blue skies, a white frozen lake, and a completely empty expressway. I did not see a human, car, or dog insight for miles. It looked like the last day on earth. But it's the first Monday, back to work, and school after the holidays in Chicago. Its a day that should be bustling with workers catching the bus, University of Chicago students whisking to class, and rush hour traffic clogging up Lake Shore Drive. None of which happened because, the city of Chicago frozen in a bitter cold silence.
