    Injured Bald Eagle Released Back Into Wild Near Front Royal, Va.

    An American Bald Eagle got a great New Year's Day present when he was released at Morgan's Ford Rd. Bridge near Front Royal, Va. The mature male eagle had been injured on nearby Interstate 66 in October, 2013 and was rescued by a Virginia State Trooper and a Warren County Sheriff's Office Animal Control Officer. The eagle was brought to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center in Boyce, Va. where he underwent surgery and rehabilitation. On January 1, 2014 he was reintroduced into the nature. For more information see
