Dr. Bradley L. Parker, Introduces Invisalign for Crowded Teeth After Braces
Dr. Bradley L. Parker of San Bruno Center for Dental Medicine recently introduced Invisalign as a fast, comfortable, and nearly invisible option for patients struggling with crowded or misaligned teeth after previously wearing braces in their younger years. With Invisalign, adult patients no longer have to worry about altering their image while in the process of improving.
An estimated 70 percent of adults who once had braces now struggle with shifted teeth that have resulted in gapping, crowding, and misalignment. This can be due to the improper use of retainers after braces or simply because of growth of the jawbone. Although this is a problem for aesthetic reasons, it also prevents oral health issues as well, as misaligned teeth can be more prone to chipping, cracking, and decay.
“Invisalign is a fantastic option for our adult patients who desperately want their perfect smile back, but don’t want to resort to traditional metal wires and brackets for how they affect their image,” said Dr. Bradley L. Parker, cosmetic dentist in San Bruno, CA. “With Invisalign, our patients can work towards a better smile without anyone really noticing.”
Invisalign is one of the latest advances in orthodontia that uses clear, soft, plastic aligners that are custom designed to each patient to gradually shift their teeth over the course of 9-18 months. Dr. Parker uses 3D imaging technology to create a series of aligners that the patient will replace approximately every three weeks.
Although patients are instructed to wear the aligners for the majority of the day and while sleeping, they are able to remove them while eating and for cleaning. Additionally, patients can easily remove the aligners for special events such as family photographs, important meetings, interviews, reunions, etc.
Dr. Parker received his DDS degree at the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry in 1982, after completing his undergraduate education at University of California, Santa Barbara in 1978. With nearly 30 years of experience in the field, Dr. Parker has become an expert in many fields of dentistry. He is a highly qualified dental implants dentist in San Bruno, CA and also is certified to provide sedation dentistry for patients who experience fear or anxiety about their visits.
