Chicago Deep Freeze Chicago Arctic Cats photo walk

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     E2014 told me, ' It wasn't easy. The weather was extremely cold. The wind could dried your face in less than a second. I just could see eyes of people who were walking on the streets because they were super wrapped up. At the end, after two hours walking, was gratifying sharing all together hot drinks like tea and coffee and eating pumpkin bread which our dear leader, Gokhan, made for all of us. What surprised you about it? I never had an experience like this before. I felt that I wasn't prepared. You can imagine something however there are more words to describe the facts you live there. You feel like you are naked on the streets even you are not. The windy didn't stop blowing. When three of us arrived at the Daley Place in Chicago loop at 7am and other of my friends were late I thought that I couldn't make it. I was looking for places where I can stay. After minutes 5 minutes I got off the train my hands and feet were hurting. How have people been reacting to the weather. They were very careful. Schools were closed. My fiancee didn't want to leave go out, she was worried about it. I didn't think what to expect because I didn't have any idea how the weather was going to be because it was my first time living this weather.'

The official Chicago Arctic Cats photo walk started January 6, 2014 leaded by Gokhna Cukurova with Andres, Bogdan, Daylan, Ryan and me, Emilio walked the streets of downtown Chicago documenting the phenomenal weather. It was sui generis, painful, and gratifiying experience. I made my strategy. I'd planned to go into a cafe and take a break to alliviate myself of the pain of my hands and feet because of the extreme cold weather. I walked one block and at the next one went into a cafe. Today, I went with Bogdan to the lake shore to get a different perspective of the deep freeze in Chicago. I took few good photographs which I'm happy sharing it with you, thanks.
