    Adore Zamboanguita

    Community Building is our Business
    One that blazes a trail to guide others with conviction, a young mayor in the municipality of Zamboanguita Hon. Mayor Kit Marc Adanza lead the Kalinga Day last, August 21 2012 at Barangay Mayabon, Sitio Salngan.

    The day started with a mass headed by the Rev. Fr. Lyndon Zerna & Rev. Fr. Jay Enriques followed by a blessing of the new site. The day went on with purity of love of God and country, inspired by the man whose act of heroism who headed the blessing of the new GK site in his municipality.

    “This is the dream that we pray for,” Mayor Adanza said during his speech. He furthermore challenge all his kababayans to be with him in this journey of making a clear path in serving the public by building a healthy community. All of the volunteers in Zamboanguita showcased on the same day their talents in dancing and singing and most importantly creating relationships during the build. A budol fight completed the day. All of these were done to give encouragement to the bayanis of Negros Oriental.

    A GK Kapitbahayan representative extends his wholehearted thanks to the Almighty Father for the great love that they encountered in their life by being part of the Gawad Kalinga community. Area Coordinator Vincent Rivera also challenges everyone to take part in shaping this community to be pleasing to the eyes of God. Also, the provincial management team led the unity dance on stage with the energetic Mayor Adanza.

    GK Volunteers from all walks of life, namely, Philippine Army 79th IB and 302nd Brigade, Silliman University, Municipality of Amlan and Sta. Catalina also expressed their love by aiding Zamboanguita in building such holistic community.
    A new nation will rise because of the bravery of our fellowmen and the inspiration brought by our Filipino brothers and sisters who continue to dream not only for themselves but for the many who need most. BAWAT KAIGSOONAN BAYANI.
