Andy Buten: Taking Hip Hop To A New Level
For this young man to be 18 years old you would think he’s been in this industry for years. Andy Buten also known as " Just Andy" is a new artist coming to the hip-hop era. His music is different and fresh!. Andy decided to talk to me and give me the lowdown of what’s up and coming with him.
Being new to the industry there are a lot of people that paved the way for Andy. His biggest influence is Biggie Smalls. He respects his grind and has appreciation for how he became a success. "Just Andy" does it all raps, gives back to his community and more. I couldn’t help but admire his handsome looks and I instantly asked, “ Do you model?” Laughing he said, “ I just did a photo shoot and we will be sending some pictures out to magazines and companies.” I told Andy that I could definitely see him on the cover of “ GQ” magazine. He just has the look and confidence to be able to pull it off. Andy says, “ It’s funny everyone asks me when am I going to be on GQ or I should be in that magazine.” Well, I see that great minds think a like!
Andy is also very big on charity. He looks to get involved with the “ So So Happy” brand with other celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and many more. “ So So Happy” gives 10% of their proceeds to kids in crisis. For more information please visit http://www.SoSoHappyOnline.com. Andy also wants to start a campaign for mental health as well. “ I feel like we need to spread mental heath more and pay more attention. Mental health is an issue as well that needs to be supported more” Andy says. Just to hear him speak about wanting to give back says a lot about Andy’s character. He’s willing to put his works and projects aside for a great cause. Kudos to you Andy!
Andy will be releasing a single this quarter called “ Go Crazy” which is a feel good hip-hop song that everyone will enjoy. What stuck out to me mostly was that he said there is no profanity in his song. Very clever! We definitely need more artists like Andy. This past weekend Andy was at a red carpet event for Sheen Magazine where he was able meet a lot of people including the face, Ms. Demitria McKinney from the Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Andy says, “ It was a good event and I was glad to show my support and meet a lot of people." Be on the lookout to see Andy on screen! I asked if he thought about being an actor and he said, “ Well, I received some scripts already that I started to read.” He left it at that and wasn’t able to give me a title or nothing! But, I guess we all have wait!
Andy gives thanks to his family, friends, and the CSP Group, Christopher Star of whom he works with, his parents and brothers. Andy gives a huge shout out to his fans! Fans get connected with Andy on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
