    Obamacare: Your story

Signed up then discovered the truth!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     dmsutton told me, 'I make over $46,000.00 a year so am not entitled to any subsidy, so for me to get health coverage I have to pay $711.00 a month for a Sliver Plan and my out of pocket would still be high. Also the discrepancy with the costs between states makes me wonder about the Act.' Please note that CNN cannot independently verify this personal account, but there have been various problems that are widely known. I did sign up for ACA, due to an error I believed I had Affordable Care but on correcting the error my Affordable Care went from $167.20 a month, to $711.00 a month. I had been a supporter of the ACA until the truth came out. The ACA is not affordable unless you make under the $46,000.00 a year limit. I see my doctor every 3 months now I have no insurance because we were lied to by our Government. Now I understand why the Members of Congress and there employees are exempt from ACA it is NOT affordable. I live in California luckily I am moving to Oregon where the same Silver plan will be $300.00 a month less. Sadly I voted for Obama twice and now realize he lied to us just to get re-elected. I do not understand why the cost of Health Coverage is so different from State to State??? I do not see ACA being a viable option for most Americans. Like so many we are discovering that once again Middle Income America is left out. We do not get a Subsidy to help and yet we do not make enough to afford health Coverage. I am ashamed of my Government. And try to get through to talk to anyone for assistance, it is a waste of time.
