    Fall in Kyoto

During one of our last days in Kyoto, we were able to walk down the Philosopher's Path and see some of the beautiful temples in the city. We took the path up to Ginkaku-ji, the silver temple, and followed a trail up a serene and expertly manicured mountain with gorgeous landscaping and trees that seemed to have come straight off the pages of our guidebook. When the hike reached it's highest point, we were out of breath but rewarded with the most stunning view of the city, framed perfectly by the color-changing trees, creating one of the most cherished memories of this amazing trip.
