    The Importance Of Real Estate Websites & Lead Generation


    One of the main factors separating an average real estate agent from a great real estate agent is leads. You need a consistent flow of both buyer and seller leads to become a top agent in your market and hopefully sell at least 1 home a day. Now, how do you ensure that you have a consistent flow of leads coming in each and every month?


    Multiple real estate websites. You need multiple lead generation sites that target both buyers and sellers. No doubt this all represents a monetary investment each month, but you need to invest in yourself and in your business. If you can handle calling web leads as soon as they come in (speed is critical – you either contact the lead or another agent will), following up with them on a consistent basis, and using systems to track and convert leads all the way to closing, you’ll make a huge return on your investment and be making more money than you ever imagined.


    A major aspect of having multiple real estate lead generation websites is having a back end/office to work those leads in. The average real estate agent converts web leads in the 1% range. Having a quality real estate website with a back end to work the leads in (so many agents still use spreadsheets to track their leads, bad idea), high converting phone scripts available to you, etc., and you’ll convert those leads in the 4-5% range. What kind of impact would converting 4-5 times as many leads as you are right now have on your lifestyle?


    So many agents dismiss the idea of online buyer and seller lead generation because it costs money. But, instead of looking at is as a cost, remember to look at it as an investment. A great real estate website and training (don’t forget about this – train on the scripts and systems you use as well as the latest ideas to be a cutting edge agent in your local market) can take your business to levels you never even imagined before. And always remember to partner with vendors in your market – lenders, title and escrow companies, etc – to help offset the cost of your real estate lead generation website investment.
