    Ultherapy with Ultrasound Technology

We all have that moment at some point. You glance at a recent photograph of yourself and think, when did I start aging? It may not be drastic…you may not even be able to put your finger on exactly what has changed. But you notice the difference…and you’re afraid others either will or worse, already have.

The face is the window into a person. As we age, gravity takes its toll, especially on the face. Brows begin to droop, causing the eyelids to sag, which in turn causes the eye to look smaller and more tired. The skin underneath the eye becomes thin and saggy. The jaw line, as well as the skin on the neck, becomes slack & loose, creating the infamous “turkey neck”. What’s a girl (or boy!) to do?

For decades, science has been searching for the fountain of youth. The consumer public frantically purchases it all, hoping for that miracle product or procedure that will give them back the face of their youth. The options are limitless: creams, lotions, gels, serums, lasers, peels, in-office procedures and even surgery. While surgery is probably the most effective option out of these, it is also has many drawbacks….cost, recovery time, and risk to list a few. This is where Ultherapy has come on the scene.

Ultherapy is a new, exciting procedure using a tried and tested technology, ultrasound energy, to lift and tighten the skin on the face, brow, and neck. Ultherapy is not surgery – there are no knives, and no recovery time. The only FDA approved non-surgical lifting procedure, Ultherapy reaches the deep layers of skin that in the past have only been accessible through a traditional face-lifting operation.

With Ultherapy, ultrasound waves are directed beneath the skin with an ultrasound probe, while the administering technician views the area being treated on the screen. This gives Ultherapy a huge advantage over other similar in-office procedures, as the energy can be directed precisely where it needs to for maximum result.

The ultrasound waves injure the collagen layer, which is the structure under the skin that gives skin its youthful plumpness & firmness. While most people do experience an immediate tightening, the results of Ultherapy happen naturally over the 2-3 months following the procedure as the collagen layer regenerates itself. Your face gives itself a facelift! All of this is done in a 60-90 minute or less, one-time in-office procedure. Pricing for Ultherapy also makes it a very attractive option, as it is far less expensive than a surgical facelift. Because of its effectiveness & ease, Hollywood has jumped on the Ultherapy bandwagon, with stars such as Courtney Cox attributing their youthful appearance to the procedure. Ultherapy was also recently awarded New Beauty’s Beauty Choice Award for “Best In-Office Procedure” for 2013!
