Anybody that would like to attend and show their support is asked to use the link above and register for the walk. We will have water stations and bathrooms as well as shuttle services to help with those who can’t walk the entire route.. Parking for the event will be anywhere along PEE DEE RD. The March will start at the intersection of Pee Dee RD and Lexington RD in Boiling Springs Lakes NC, 28461 at 5.pm. We will walk from Pee Dee Rd to Duke Rd at which point we will turn left on Beaufort RD and continue along until we turn right onto Charleston rd. At this point in the march we will be approaching the family’s home on Presidents RD for the Candlelight vigil at 6pm. Once we finish with the Vigil we will continue down Presidents RD until we make a left on Liberty RD, Which will take us back to Lexington RD where we began.
This is a peaceful march in the memory of a fallen friend and to raise awareness for mental health programs. We ask that if you would like to attend that you keep this in mind.. THIS IS NOT A PROTEST. This is to show the family that they have the support of their community and country.. If you are A Mental Health Organization and would like to participate please feel free to contact me through the Facebook page as I am the administrator. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help with water distribution, Set up and take down, ect. Are asked to contact me through the Facebook as well.. Anyone who would like to attend but can’t the link to donate something to the family is here… http://www.gofundme.com/63c378
As of yet there are no new details in the Investigation of what happened that day.. The wheels of justice turn slowly in this part of town. So instead of focusing on the negative we are bringing a positive light to the whole situation.. Please make arrangements to attend and to show your support..
If you are not able to attend the march and would like to attend the vigil it is a 6pm on Presidents RD across from the family home.. All information on the vigil is at this link… https://www.facebook.com/events/707368739281545/
I would like to thank everyone who is planning to attend and everyone that has already shown their support in the form of donations.. It is great to see that the nation at large stands behind this family in their time of need… This is why I love America, No matter how bad we all have it we still make time to help those who need our support… Please if you haven’t heard the story of Keith Vidal, just Google his name.. He was a very talented young man that needed help, but instead was taken away from us way before his time…
