While shooting an Aurora Borealis in low light as luck would have it I also captured a meteor trail occurring above the lighthouse. To the naked eye it looked like a shooting star and the moment was so fleeting. I remarked to a friend nearby that just MAYBE whatever it was that flashed by in the blink of an eye would be captured in camera and no one else saw it except me...I feel this image is unique and perfectly epitomises one of the wonderful things about photography which is the ability to capture in a split second and allow us time in comfort later to enjoy for as long as we like moments that either get missed or pass by us so rapidly! Capturing this moment while also capturing one of natures other wonders the Aurora Borealis in Iceland was the icing on the cake. The fragments and smoke trail can be clearly seen in front of the wonderful green glow of the sky.
