Golden Globes Style Lounge Kicks off 2014 Award Season Gifting

The Golden Globes officially launched Hollywood’s favorite time of the year: awards season. To mark the occasion, Secret Room Events held its Golden Globes Style Lounge at the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills, benefitting People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the world’s largest animal rights organization. Naturally, Hollywood’s pampered pets were invited to attend along with their humans, including Golden Globe-nominated cast members from “Nebraska,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” “The Butler,” and “Parks and Recreation.”

To assure every day on the red carpet is a good hair day, Kashimir Keratin offered the latest in serious hair care. ISO Beauty provided limited-edition ceramic flatirons in a beautiful peacock pattern, while Glop & Glam showered guests with its natural range of kid/teen shampoos and styling products with tantalizing scents like Candy Apple and Cake Batter. Also smelling sweet was Masik Collegiate Fragrances, and Parisian perfumer Nabil Hayari who presented his luxurious Hayari Couture trio of blends inspired by French flowers.

Natural and organic ingredients were trending for Astara Skin Care, Joey New York’s hydrating coconut water facial care, Favor Care Organics, Sage Stone Botanicals, and Zen Society’s holistic line of vegan, chemical-free products. Fairiche founder Vicki Nguyen explained the benefits of her Radiance Collection, while Danielle Nicole Kremer presented her Beverly Hills salon’s DNK product solutions, and demonstrated her skills with on-the-spot eyelash extensions. Daisy Adel, founder of Daisy Skin Institute, invited guests to her Beverly Hills clinic to choose from a menu of services. Cate McNabb Cosmetics gifted make-up cases filled with the new company’s mineral -based eye-shadows and blushes.

Luxury jewelry designers – including Bohemme, and twin sisters Kimberly and Lucy of Dao Fournier -- accessorized the best-dressed crowd with loaned pieces. Texan designer Jill Reno was back for more, having already seen her jewels worn by Golden Globes winners and nominees Elizabeth Moss, Hayden Panettiere and Glenn Close. Newcomer Hannah Vasicek debuted her Francesca Collection, highlighted by unique beaded necklaces worthy of the spotlight.

But dogs were the true stars of the day, and attention was lavished on them from two pet shampoo lines: Organic Oscar and Pet Heads, which also gifted fast-drying nail polish and doggie fragrance. While actors snacked on Offenbacher Gourmet Fudge and tested Swiss Diamond cookware, canines rested on specialty beds from three designers: Sealy (yes, the human mattress company), Vivon memory foam pillows and mattresses, and P.L.A.Y.’s artist collection of dog beds made with recycled bottles. Lucky VIPS used their colorful new Honore and Helium suitcases, by the iconic French luggage brand Delsey, to wheel their gift bag treasures home.
