Share your talents, Rose tells Filipinos

ROSE "Osang" Fostanes of the Philippines, X-Factor Israel’s grand winner for its first season, on Wednesday said she hopes other overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will also share their talents like what she did.
The 47-year-old grand champion, who hails from Bohol province in Central Philippines, also said that with her recognition as a singer the “tags” caregiver or cleaner attached to Filipinos working overseas can now be put to rest.
"I think I will be a leader for them because of what I did and I think also they will be proud of me. Everybody in the world will know that Filipinos, even working as a cleaner can also share their talents," Fostanes said.
She added: "I feel that everybody is looking at me like I was an alien. A Filipina working here (Israel), cleaning houses."
“My Way” was Fontanes’ winning piece. The audience responded with a standing ovation when she and her Israeli mentor, Shiri Maimon, sang the song "Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys during a duet performance.
Fontanes’ family is now residing in Taguig City, Metro Manila.
