Universities Need To Fix Attendance Problems

My name is Byron Thomas and America; there’s an attendance problem that’s happening at every University in the United States of America. Not every student goes to class which is sad because they’re basically throwing away money (which is never good, but apparently we love wasting money in this country). Also, not every professor takes attendance which I wished every professor did, but it’s their choice. For the professors that do take attendance, they need to be more aware of what’s going on. I believe roll call is the best/fair method for checking attendance because a professor can easily spot when a student isn’t in class. I’ve started to notice that a lot of professors are starting to pass around an attendance sheet, which isn’t smart because a lot of students are taking advantage of the system. Students get other students to sign them into class when they’re not there, which I believe isn’t fair to the students that do the right thing by showing up to class. I don’t care if students are missing class because that’s their business, but I do care when those same students are reaping the same benefits as me when I’m doing the right thing by coming to class. I just feel like this is something small that can be fixed. Hopefully professors can take attendance a lot more serious. Overwhelm People with Love and May God Bless the United States of America
