    Peace in Bangkok Shut Down

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sak07 is a dual American and Thai citizen. He’s been back in Thailand since Jan. 13, the day before the Bangkok shutdown, and he’s been observing the protests there. He commented at how calm and peaceful the protesters have been, especially compared to the violent protests against former Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva 2010, he said. These photos were taken on Jan. 16.
