    KAHULUI, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Police on Maui are searching for a woman missing since Sunday.

Moreira Monsalve, or 'Mo' as she is called, took her 27-year old daughter to the Kahului airport Sunday afternoon. Alexis Felicilda was flying to O'ahu for a couple of days. Felicilda grew worried when she found out that her mother had not made contact with any of her three children after that and she didn't show up for work on Monday.

The adult children checked Monsalve's Facebook page and found that she had visited an ex-boyfriend Sunday evening. That ex-boyfriend is being questioned by Maui police.

Monsalve's car was found at an auto shop in Kahului. According to Felicilda, the ex-boyfriend dropped it off at the shop and said it was not working properly. Police reportedly searched the car but did not find any evidence of a crime.

Felicilda also says her mother's cell phone was used briefly Tuesday. It was turned on just long enough for someone to check voice messages. It was then turned off and an exact location was not found.

"It's not getting any better, it's getting weirder," says Felicilda, "This is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with."

Family members are now handing out flyers and using social media to get the word out about Monsalve. A Facebook page was created by the family. You can find it here https://www.facebook.com/#!/mowatchmoreiramonsalve
